Welcome to UKAAT

The UKAAT Society was founded under a constitution in 1988 for scientists active in the study, practice or development of in vitro toxicology.

The aims of the UKAAT Society are:

  • To provide a central hub to connect non-animal methods and supporting technologies
  • To promote adoption of alternative approaches to animal testing
  • To provide a discussion forum for scientists actively involved in the study, practice or development of alternatives to animals
  • To arrange scientific meetings on the subject of New Approach Methods (NAMs) and their practical applications
  • To support knowledge sharing / dissemination
  • To encourage participation of new student scientists in the field of NAMs
